	Ancient Egyptian Statue of Osiris Ref: STAT01 Rare and in very high demand, we have finally acquired a genuine ancient Egyptian statue, dating back to 500BC! The bronze statue, perfectly intact even after 2,500 years, depicts a mumiform Osiris, the Egyptian God of Death and Lord of the Underworld. 	Solid Gold Ancient Roman Apollo Pendant Ref: ROMPEN03 This stunning pendant pays true tribute to the skill of the goldsmiths of ancient Rome. Expertly crafted in gold sheet, the pendant features the intricately detailed face of an androgynous youth - very likely to be Apollo, the Greek and Roman God of the Sun and one of the revered of all the gods. 	Ancient Roman Samian Ware Bowl Ref: bowl01 This beautiful red terracotta bowl is in such fantastic condition, and crafted with such sophistication that at first glance, it may be mistaken for a modern piece - but it is in fact nearly 2000 years old! It is an example of an ancient type of pottery known as Samian ware, a kind of bright red Roman pottery also known as terra sigillata. It was first made during the first century AD and production ceased around the mid third century. It can be identified from its distinctive smooth red surface created by dipping the unfired pot in slip before putting it in the kiln. Crafted in approximately 200 AD, this bowl displays the red gloss-ware terracotta typical of Samian ware. It has a deep spherical recess, wide flat rim, and decorated with two evenly spaced incised bands. It is set on a small ring base. It is incredibly rare to find a piece so ancient, and in almost identical condition from the day in which it was crafted. Sestertius of the emperor Hadrian AD 117 - 138 Ref: romcoin02 Publius Aelius Traianus Hadrianus, known as Hadrian in English was Roman emperor from 117 -138. He was the third of the "Five Good Emperors", known for being a philosopher, a patron of the arts and a peace maker, focusing more on securing the Roman Empire than expanding it. He orderd the building of 'Hadrians wall' in AD122, it was a stone fortification spanning the width of northern Britain, to prevent military raids by the scottish. It took roughly 8 years to complete, was an estimated 3 meters wide and 6-8 meters high, most of it is still standing today (though it is only a foot high these days) and it is a famous tourist site. Rare Dark Age Bronze Pendant Ref: darkagecr This impressive bronze pendant dates from the 5th/6th century A.D - the period in Britain known as "the Dark Ages" and is the time of king Arthur. 	Double Sided Silver Reliquary Cross Ref: medcros10 This early silver Medieval/Byzantine double sided cross was crafted circa 10-12C AD. It is an Encolpion which is the name given to a specific reliquary worn round the neck. Many such pieces were enclosed relics as fragments of cloth stained with the blood of a martyr, small pieces of parchment with texts from the Holy Scriptures, particles of the True Cross, etc The two halves are decorated with Christ risen on one side and a saint on the other. The halves are attached by two small rivets, the bottom rivit is iron and has been treated to prevent further corrosion, the top rivit has been replaced with a silver rivet. The cross has been lightly cleaned but not polished. 	14th Century Medieval Dagger Ref: meddag02 This is an extremely rare, well-preserved original Medieval Dagger. Made in circa 1350, the pommel bears an attractive "piecrust" decoration. Although we cannot say for sure what this dagger was used for, it resembles those used in Pagan Athame rituals, especially those with such prominent carvings on the hilt. Michael is the archangel mentioned in the Book of Revelation 12:7; in the Old Testament Michael is mentioned by name in the Persian context of the post-Exilic Book of Daniel. He is generally presented as the field commander of the Army of God. There Michael appears as "one of the chief princes" who in Daniels vision comes to the angel Gabriels aid in his contest with the angel of Persia. Michael is one of the principal angel Abrahamic tradition; his name is said to have beent he war cry of the angels in the battle fought in heaven against satan and his followers. St Michael together with St George became the patron of chivalry, and the patron of the first chivalric order of France, the Order of St Michael of 1469.
